QCA provides services to individuals aged 18 and above, focusing on those with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism disorders, in line with the Home and Community Based Benefit programs outlined in the MaineCare Benefits Manual (10-104 Ch. 101, Ch. II Section 20, 21, and 29).
Our services are available to those who qualify for MaineCare Benefits Waiver programs Section 20, 21 & 29, as well as self-paying individuals who demonstrate financial capability.
We prioritize accommodating residents requiring urgent placement, ensuring their immediate needs are met.
At QCA, residents' needs always come first.
Upon receiving a vendor call, QCA's staff promptly assess if our services align with the resident's needs.
Next, we arrange an initial meeting and home visit, involving QCA's team, the Case Manager, and the individual and/or guardians. This ensures clear communication and addresses any questions or concerns. The individual is encouraged to visit the house.
Once a decision is made, the moving-in process begins.
At admission, copies of the resident's physician's orders for medications are required. While we don't maintain waiting lists, it may take up to fourteen days to secure staff for new residents. However, we prioritize urgent placements, collaborating closely with the individual, their guardians, and/or case manager.
